Bio
Meghan Jean is a visual artist whose work explores narrative constructs, personal mythology, interconnectivity, and the mercurial nature of human perception. She graduated summa cum laude with a BFA from Savannah College of Art & Design.
Meghan has exhibited her drawings and paintings locally and around the Unites States. In 2011 she collaborated with MacArthur Fellow Camille Utterback and artist Michelle Higa on the large-scale interactive video installation, Active Ecosystem (SFM), on permanent display at the Sacramento International Airport. Her latest body of mixed-media work, Blood Ties, investigates familial lore and the relationship between histories and realities.
Meghan is a recipient of the Francis Larkin McCommons Scholarship and a member of the Art Director’s Guild. She resides in Oakland with her husband-to-be, Chris Sasaki, and their English bulldog, Beans.
